  • Even though I only shop for two people, I buy nearly all my groceries at Costco.

  • When it comes to frozen foods, I'm a big fan of the Kirkland Signature cod loins and salmon filets.

  • I love pairing the store-brand blend of frozen berries with Kirkland Signature vanilla ice cream.

I've been shopping at Costco for my household of two for over 20 years. Though I don't have a large family to feed, I pay for the store's executive membership, which has a 2% reward of up to $1,250 on qualified purchases.

Compared to other grocery stores in my area, Costco offers the best value for high-quality frozen products, including meat, seafood, and vegetables. In fact, the retailer is my go-to store for keeping my freezer stocked and my meal planning easy.

Here are some of my favorite things to get in the frozen section at Costco.

I use the Kirkland Signature boneless skinless chicken breasts in so many meals.

I use this Kirkland Signature product in several meals, from chicken piccata to Buffalo-chicken pizza. Although I cook with the chicken breasts at least once a week, the large bags from Costco easily last me a month or more.

Each breast is individually frozen before packaging, so thawing one at a time is easy.

I like the flavor of the Kirkland Signature farm-raised Atlantic salmon.

My diet includes a lot of fish, and in my opinion, the frozen-salmon products at Costco are excellent. I especially like the farm-raised Atlantic salmon for its consistent flavor and versatility.

I use the filets in various recipes, from salmon cakes to Scandinavian seafood soup. However, they're also wonderful when simply seared and served with a starch and vegetables.

The PuraVida flame-grilled provençale vegetables have a smoky, charred flavor.

This blend of grilled asparagus, mushrooms, yellow squash, carrots, and red onion is delicious.

The vegetables are flame-grilled before freezing, so when they're cooked, it tastes like they just came off a charcoal grill. They make a wonderful addition to anything that requires a multitude of veggies, from stir-fry to risotto.

I love cooking with the Kirkland Signature wild-caught Atlantic cod loins.

The Kirkland Signature wild cod is an excellent, economical alternative for those who prefer to avoid farmed fish.

It's a great addition to any chowder or seafood stew, from bouillabaisse (fish soup) to paella. I also like poached cod in a puttanesca sauce of tomatoes, olives, and capers alongside crusty bread.

A bag of Kirkland Signature organic broccoli florets is handy for when I'm out of fresh vegetables.

Frozen broccoli always saves the day when I'm running low on fresh vegetables and can't get to the store.

This large bag contains four smaller pouches of broccoli, making it easy to thaw one packet at a time for a quick meal.

When I'm making a fancy meal, I pick up the Kirkland Signature raw sea scallops.

The Kirkland Signature scallops make a wonderful treat for special occasions, and if you ask me, their quality can't be beaten.

They're incredibly sweet and, when thawed, smell like they just came out of the ocean. I also like that they're quite large.

I like to sear the scallops in butter and serve them over risotto.

I use the Kirkland Signature organic green peas in pasta dishes.

I often cook with peas, so I always keep one of these large bags in the freezer. I like to use them in dishes like pasta carbonara and risotto.

The Kirkland Signature three-berry blend is perfect in smoothies or on top of ice cream.

Costco's blend of frozen raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries is great to have on hand.

I have the berries in breakfast smoothies, over ice cream for dessert, or for a quick, nutritious afternoon snack.

The Kirkland Signature super-premium vanilla ice cream is delicious.

I'd say the Kirkland Signature super-premium vanilla ice cream is comparable in quality to top brands like Häagen-Dazs.

Though keeping two large cartons of ice cream on hand may seem excessive, I've found that they hold up very well for several months without becoming freezer-burned.
