Netflix has become the home of incredible sports documentaries. 2023 was another fantastic year for new documentaries, and 2024 is also shaping up to be another strong year for sports documentaries on Netflix.
The standard of documentaries released over the past several years has proven that there has never been a better time to be a fan of sports documentaries. Between Netflix with Drive to Survive, HBO Max with The Last Dance, and Amazon with All or Nothing, there’s no shortage of great titles.

He is one of the most controversial figures in all of wrestling, and his controversial career can be measured against the level of his success as the CEO and Chairman of the WWE. An outlandish authority character that’s beloved by many wrestling fans; during the making of the documentary, which gave the production crew over 200 hours of interviews with Vince McMahon himself, accusations of misconduct led to McMahon’s dismissal from the WWE and TKO Holdings, that has just added to the pile of controversies that you could make several documentaries about.
The six-part documentary will explore Mr. McMahon’s life, career, success, and controversy. It will include several interviews with McMahon and some of the most influential professional wrestlers who paved the way for the WWE’s dominance over the past five decades.

Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, one of the studios that worked on the first season of Quarterback, is teaming up with LeBron James SpringHill Company, the Obamas’ Higher Ground Production, and the NBA to produce an exhilarating new docuseries centered on the dramatic events of an NBA regular season and the playoffs by following five elite players; Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Lebron James of the LA Lakers, Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings, and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics.
