Joe Germanotta -- a New York City restaurateur -- went on Fox News just minutes ago to throw his support behind the former president over Democratic opponent Kamala Harris, calling DJT "pure" and "a patriot."

Germanotta says he thinks the whole concept of voting for people is a bit odd ... but, even though he admits he finds DJT abrasive, he rattles off a series of Trump policies that align with his own views.

Ryan Wesley Routh -- the suspected would-be assassin of Donald Trump -- just had his mug shot released from a Florida lockup -- and the dude looks like your average middle-aged Joe.

The 58-year-old Routh posed for his booking photo at the Palm Beach County Jail after authorities captured him Sunday following his alleged attempt to kill Trump -- the Republican presidential nominee.

As you know, Routh became a prime suspect on Sunday after Secret Service clocked an AK-style rifle peeking out from some shrubbery about 400 yards away from where the former prez was playing a round of golf.

Costco shoppers in Northern California got a refreshing surprise when they bumped into Michelle Obama, who was in the store giving her new healthy drink, Plezi Fizz, quite the sparkling endorsement.

In a viral TikTok, the former First Lady was spotted at a Livermore Costco, raving her Plezi Fizz is not only healthy and calorie-free ... but also tastes pretty darn good.

11:00 AM PT -- Nassau County PD Commissioner Patrick Ryder tells TMZ ... "Reports of explosives being found at the site are unfounded. There is a person who is being questioned who may have been training a bomb detection dog near the site. The individual with the bomb dog falsely reported explosives being found and that individual is currently being detained by the police."

After two assassination attempts on Donald Trump's life this year, a fresh threat was reported Wednesday -- and though it's been dismissed as bogus, it’s probably not doing much to ease  Trump and his team’s nerves.

This morning, journalist James Lalino claimed in an X post ... Nassau County Police Department sources told him the perimeter at Trump’s Long Island rally site at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum was apparently "breached" and a "blue barrel" was removed.

Lalino also claimed during a K9 sweep, authorities supposedly found an explosive device in one of the vehicles nearby, and the driver fled into the woods.

Pharrell Williams has a message for celebs who publicly voice their political views -- shut the hell up!

The singer gave a wide-ranging interview to The Hollywood Reporter and, at one point, the convo turned to politics, which led to his criticism of his fellow artists.

Pharrell said he gets annoyed when certain celebs whose opinions he does not respect try to make people vote for a specific candidate.

J.D. Vance is catching heat for taking Laura Loomer's racist Kamala Harris diss to the next level ... adding fried chicken to the mix, along with a side of curry.

In a recent interview on NBC News' "Meet The Press," Vance tells Kristen Welker ... "Whether you're eating curry at your dinner table or fried chicken, things have gotten more expensive thanks to her policies."

Vance was being asked about Loomer's recent racist comments aimed at the Vice President ... namely, saying if Harris, whose mom was Indian American, got elected, the White House would "smell like curry."

Donald Trump is thanking the sheriff's deputies who played a pivotal role in the capture of the suspect in the 2nd assassination attempt on his life ... praising them all as "good-looking humans" in a giddy meet and greet.

The former prez appeared to be high on life when he greeted Martin County Sheriff William D. Snyder and his deputies at Mar-a-Lago Tuesday ... shaking their hands and saying words of encouragement to each one -- all of whom helped bring in alleged would-be assassin Ryan Wesley Routh.

Trump was clearly feeling good after surviving his 2nd assassination attempt of the year, as he quipped to the group ... "I'm still here!!!"

Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish are "Birds of a Feather" when it comes to their election plans ... as the 22-year-old singer is voicing her support for Kamala Harris.

The pop star took to Instagram alongside brother and music producer Finneas Tuesday, where they encouraged their U.S. followers to register to vote ... and endorsed the Vice President of the United States in her bid for the White House.

Billie said ... "We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our Democracy."

New body cam footage of the arrest of Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspected would-be Donald Trump assassin, explains why Martin County Sheriff William Snyder "was taken aback" over the capture.

Watch the video ... Routh is seen calmly walking backward with his shirt lifted over his head as sheriff's deputies holding guns shout instructions at him. The suspect barely utters a word while following directions to a T ... keeping his composure as he surrenders to the authorities, who slap a pair of handcuffs on him.

He even offers up his name without protest when asked by deputies to identify himself ... showing he was not rattled during the high-profile arrest.

The Secret Service is once again facing heat after the agency's acting director Ronald Rowe Jr. admitted the West Palm Beach golf course wasn't searched prior to the 2nd assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life.

Rowe -- who stepped into the role after Kimberly Cheatle resigned following the July shooting at Trump's Pennsylvania rally -- spoke with reporters Monday, and confessed an extensive search of the grounds was not conducted during 45's visit to the Trump International Golf Club in Florida Sunday ... defending the visit was "not on [Trump's] official schedule."

He added ... "The president wasn’t even really supposed to go there ... and so we put together a security plan -- and that security plan worked."

Donald Trump is live on Elon Musk's app ... and he's praising the civilian who helped lead police straight to the man suspected of trying to shoot the former president.

Trump co-hosted a Spaces on X interview and he's talking about a wide range of topics, including Sunday's foiled would-be assassination attempt. He says a witness saw the suspect running to his car and snapped photos of him, his car and his license plate and fed it to cops, helping them track the guy down.

New photos show police carrying the gun away from Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach in an evidence box Sunday ... and loading it into the back of a Palm Beach County Sheriff's crime scene van.

Law enforcement says the weapon, an SKS-style rifle with a scope, was loaded when it was recovered ... and the gun's serial number was "obliterated and unreadable."
