Insiders Reveal What Sophia Loren’s Surprising ‘Passions’ Are at 89 Years Old

There is nothing cooler than when someone who’s in their 70s, 80s, or 90s is full of so much joy and excitement for life. We especially love it when one of our favorite icons has truly lived their lives to the fullest, inspiring us to do the same; and this time, we’re fawning over Sophia Loren.

On Sept 20, Loren will be celebrating her 90th birthday, and doing so with her family and closest pals. As her birthday approaches, many fans wonder: does she have anything up her sleeve at 90? Is there any unfinished business she may have? Nope, her friends recently said she’s done everything she’s ever wanted, and now, her passions are very low-key.

“Sophia has checked off everything on her bucket list,” a friend said to Closer Weekly. “She’s had a full life and wouldn’t change a thing.”

They added, “At this stage of her life, Sophia’s passions are spending time with her grandchildren, sitting in her garden, watching some of her favorite shows or classic films. She wants to be comfortable, have good conversations with friends and eat good meals.”

Isn’t that so wholesome, so wonderful?

For those who don’t know, Loren has two sons: Carlo Ponti and Edoardo Ponti. Edoardo has two children named Lucia Sofia (born in May 12, 2006) and Leonardo Fortunato (born on Dec. 20, 2010). Carlos also has two children, Vittorio Leone Ponti (born on April 2, 2007) and Beatrice Lara (born on March 15, 2012).

So it seems her passions are family-oriented, and keeping her peace. Honestly, that’s life goals.
