RFK Jr.’s Rebellious Daughter Kyra Made a Drastic Move out of the US Amid Her Dad’s Campaign

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s daughter Kyra Kennedy has been living it up in Milan, Italy while her dad was pursuing his ill-fated presidential campaign.

The model and socialite, 29, has been documenting her glamorous, fashionable life in Italy on her Instagram page, a far cry from her East Coast upbringing. Most recently, Kyra posted on her Instagram Story about working with Italian fashion house Versace.

In August, Kyra discussed her move to Europe with Elle as part of their celebration of jewelry brand Bulgari’s 140th anniversary, revealing that it was inspired by her late mother’s love for the country.

“My brothers and sisters pursued the same political careers as my father, while I followed in my mother’s footsteps,” she said of RFK Jr.’s second wife, Mary Richardson, who died in 2012. “It was she who taught me—and this is something she learned when she lived in Rome—that eternity is something that lives on even after this life. Like love, it has no limits.”

Kyra revealed that she is studying fashion in Milan and is in the process of establishing her own clothing line. “I would like to be able to capture beauty and inspire others through my creations,” she said. “I learned all my style secrets from my mother.”

Prior to relocating to Italy, Kyra was known for her involvement in the New York social scene. The Fashion Institute of Technology alum made headlines several times in her late teens and early adult years for allegedly getting kicked out of a New York nightclub and reportedly disputing with her dad over her social media usage.

In 2016, Kyra and her socialite friends were dubbed The Snap Pack because of their antics on Snapchat and were even profiled in a New York Times article highlighting their luxurious lifestyles.

Kyra is the second daughter of RFK Jr. and Richardson’s four children. The couple were married from 1994 until 2010 and share Connor, Kyra, William Finbar (known as Finn) and Aidan. RFK Jr. also has two older children,  Robert “Bobby” Kennedy III and Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy, from his relationship with Emily Ruth Black. He has been married to actress Cheryl Hines since 2014.
