One of my favourite features of our up and coming Nerdio Manager for Enterprise 6.1 release is the ability to switch from breadth to depth mode at certain times of the day. In the morning, we want to make sure the log-on experience is as smooth as possible by spreading the load amongst our available hosts (breath mode). With the new capability, we can switch the load-balancing algorithm to depth mode when all the users are logged on, ensuring that we fill up the session hosts. This means that when we come to the end of the day, we can switch off more hosts and achieve higher host density and, therefore, lower costs!! Pretty cool right?! #AVD #Nerdio #CostSavings
