I love to share this post from the CEO of KraftHeinz. First of all, I find his openess in sharing his views and thoughts refreshing. Second, I find his view on learning from companies outside his own industry most interesting. Also because he is sharing his view with the outside world. I agree that connecting with- and learning from other industries is wise. In my work as area manager for the spirits beverage company Bols Int. I have learned a lot from my Spanish and Italian distributors. Concerning communication with others, influencing, management, negotiations, care for other cultures. Also discussing vision/mission on C-level. And I learned from my former Swedish Marketing Sales Director Mats Walberg, to also expand your network outside your own industry. To, indeed, get different perspectives and ideas regarding your own business. To find new growth in your business, do things differently. Don’t copy the competition. Look outside your branche.

Time goes so fast! Remember to take a moment and thank the people around you regularly. Thank your teams, co-workers, leadership and customers. Make sure it extends to your loved ones too. Never let anyone important to you think you take them granted. Show appreciation by actions and words! Be safe and remember everything is what you make it. Control your reactions because that’s the only thing you can control in every situation.
