The world's largest community for business software.

About us

SaaStr is the world’s largest community of SaaS executives, founders, and entrepreneurs. Our goal is to help everyone get from $0 to $100m ARR with less stress and more success. We do that with a combination of industry-leading content and community connections. The SaaStr Annual is the largest non-vendor event in the industry. SaaStr began in 2012 as a simple WordPress blog and a few answers on Quora sharing EchoSign founder Jason Lemkin’s learnings of going from $0 to $100m ARR at EchoSign. This led to our first meet-ups in 2013, the first SaaStr Annual in 2015, the industry’s leading podcast in 2016, the first coworking space in 2017, and the first learning management system for SaaS CEOs in 2018. To continue expanding and serving the community, SaaStr has grown its offerings to include regional and global events, a co-selling space, an investment fund, and an automated e-learning platform. SaaStr has been named one of the Top 100 Blogs for Entrepreneurs but Forbes and one of the 50 Best Websites for Entrepreneurs by Inc. Magazine, and a Top Writer on Quora six times. Jason has been named by Business Insider to the 32 Most Powerful People in Business Technology.

#saastr2024 #saastr #empreendedorismo

I'm still riding the SaaStr wave 🌊, and my mind is blown! First SaaStr Annual, and wow, what a game-changer. The crown jewel? Jason's AMA. Hearing him live is like striking the mother lode if you think his podcast and YouTube are gold mines. I've distilled Jason's wisdom into five nuggets that'll revolutionize your SaaS game: 1️⃣ PLG Reality Check "PLG isn't magic. You need millions of users for cheap products or thousands for expensive ones." 🔑 Takeaway: If your market's too small, embrace sales-led growth. Build an exceptional self-serve product or double down on your sales team. 2️⃣ The Age of Expertise "Customers want solutions, not small talk. Age is irrelevant." 🔑 Takeaway: Master your product, solve problems, and become the go-to expert. Youth? It's an asset when you're the most competent person in the room. 3️⃣ M&A Mastery "Don't let 'build or buy' ultimatums pressure you into selling." 🔑 Takeaway: Seek diverse perspectives, even under NDA. Remember, sometimes good offers don't come back – but bad deals aren't worth the pain. 4️⃣ VP Hiring Hierarchy "Marketing > Sales > Product. But a great VP trumps timing." 🔑 Takeaway: Hire marketing at $20K MRR, sales at $1-2M ARR. For products, prioritize customer-centricity and deep product knowledge. 5️⃣ Partner Power Play "Direct sales alone won't cut it. HubSpot gets 40%+ revenue from partners." 🔑 Takeaway: Invest heavily in partnerships. Dedicated resources for relationship maintenance are non-negotiable. Jason's AMA was a masterclass in SaaS strategy. These insights are just the tip of the iceberg. You're leaving money on the table if you're not following his content. What's your biggest takeaway? Which of these insights will you implement first? Let's discuss it! 👇 #SaaStr2024 #SaaS #StartupAdvice #ProductLedGrowth #PLG #Partnerships

Ngl, it's bittersweet that traditional SaaS as we know it is on it's way out with the rapid evolution of AI. 🥹 My very first tech job was in 2010 at RingCentral , wayyyy back when it was an "On-Demand Business Phone System". Yup, "On-Demand"... before the "Cloud" or "SaaS" was even a thing! 🔮 Fast forward 14 years to today, we now have: AI BDRs that can do sequencing outreach?! AI BDRs that actually call *and* interact with prospects?! It's a crazy AI world out there but, thankfully, the vengeful robots of "I, Robot" aren't in our future anytime soon. Last week at SaaStr Annual, the topic on everyone's mind was (surprise, surprise!): AI In one of the AI speaker sessions a quote that stuck with me was, “If you’re not thinking about how to deploy AI you’re already behind the curve.” - Simple and straight to the point. Thank you Paige O'Neill, CMO at Seismic for this one! Klarna is a prime example of how forward-thinking companies are moving away from traditional #SaaS and implementing AI to their competitive advantage! 🚀 Yet, there’s still this deep seated concern that AI will replace people, which isn't necessarily the case. What AI should be is a ✨ force multiplier ✨ to let organizations do 5x, 10x, 100x with the same number of people. Enabling and freeing up internal teams' time to focus on product and customers, doing their best quality work, and strategizing on growth. How has your company thought of or implemented AI in your tech stack? [ Adding a few pictures from SaaStr and the amazing Women in Sales members I got to meet IRL! So grateful!! 💜 ] Alexine Mudawar ✨Shannon P. Maggie Maloney Lily Youn Jaroszewski Meredith Chandler Jim Gonzales #AIdisruption #FutureOfSaaS
