Great survey of women in the United States. I've used it for teaching classes in women's history and parts of it to include women in a general U.S. history course. My first copy became pretty tattered from constant use, my second copy is well worn. Easily understood. Makes good connections to other factors in U.S. history. Strong in the feminist aspects of U.S. history and nineteenth century women's rights and suffrage movement. ( )
