Desperate for a job a young woman accepts a job offer and some accommodations that will be repaid from her first paycheck. When she gets her first paycheck she finds out that she is 4 months in debt. She learns that everyone that works there is in debt to the company. She learns that you can't quit until your debt is paid off and everything you do costs you money. // It is not only has shadows of past unfair treatment of mill workers and others but also whispers of how it may still be for some people in some places on the globe. // My low rating is because it's not particular fiction reading preference.
