Hello everyone!

My name is Mariam, I'm 25 and a 6th grade language arts teacher. Unlike most people in my family, I'm an avid reader.

This year I'd like to read from the following categories:
classics, science fiction, history, scripture, cooking, action/adventure, science, and medicine!

Some of my favorite books of all time are:
The House of Mirth Edith Wharton
The Age of Innocence Edith Wharton
Star Trek Catalyst of Sorrows
The Picture of Dorian Gray Oscar Wilde
The Importance of Being Earnest Oscar Wilde
Benjamin Franklin: An American Life Walter Isaacson
Stormbreaker Anthony Horowitz

This year I'm going to join the 1010 Challenge and read 8 books in 10 categories including medicine, classics, science, science fiction, history, math/logic, tafseer (exegesis of the holy Quran), Islamic studies, cooking, action/adventure.

I've read two books so far:
Moonraker A James Bond novel - action/adventure
Things Fall Apart - A classic about tribal Nigeria - classic
