It should really be titled the Pedants' Revolt though, as the painting comes from the Peasants' Revolt.

Arghh! That's my fault. When I found it on Twitter, it was indeed called The Pedants' Revolt. I messed it up in the transcription.

Fewer/less bothers me but the missuse of "amount" is also common. I heard a woman on the radio today saying that she hoped the "amount of children" learning to play a musical instrument would increase. "Total number of" which is equivalent to 'amount' I would accept (just) but 'amount' seems wrong.
