Desmond MacNamara (1918–2008)

Probably not the framing book you are looking for. This has very little to offer the typical DIY or semi-pro framer and is mostly focused on highly custom hand-decorated frames. Even if I were looking to enter the very niche world of bespoke frames, I doubt I'd be able to successfully do it from a book. These skills would be best learned in a apprenticeship type of setting, or at least an educational context with access to specialty materials and experienced teachers. There is some cool stuff demonstrated here, but I don't think the book has much practical value.… (more)
