Road trip audiobook!
I've hardly seen anything Mindy Kaling has been in -- maybe a handful of episodes of The Mindy Project, but none of The Office -- but I did enjoy the two seasons of the Scooby-Doo reboot Velma on Max.
Regardless, she made for an amusing travel companion. The book is about half autobiography and half humorous essays and asides. It was pretty consistently amusing and kept me chuckling as the miles zipped by.
I'll definitely be listening to her follow up book on a future road trip.… (more)

Mindy Kaling is one of the smartest, funniest, and most honest people working in entertainment today. This book is a series of hilarious essays/thoughts on different topics, and it was just what the doctor ordered after a stressful month. I enjoyed Kaling's first book, so it was an easy choice to go back for seconds. Like the first one, this book is about half autobiographical stories and half essays on random topics, including a Harvard Law School commencement speech she gave.
It was all amusing enough to help the miles pass, except for maybe the cliched romance fiction told in email form that she also shoved between the covers to maybe pad out the page count.
She is a fun narrator, though I do feel a bit odd for not watching any of her TV shows except for the one she didn't star in: Never Have I Ever.
