Miranda Lambert has paired her new breakup anthem “Wranglers” with a music video that puts the song’s lyrics to life.
The visual, directed by longtime collaborator Trey Fanjoy, finds Lambert and pals consoling a friend in the aftermath of a breakup, with the group holding a ceremonial bonfire of the ex’s belongings and proving that, in fact, “Wranglers take forever to burn.”

Flay is an indie horror film loosely based on the Slenderman character. Already released on Digital in 2019, Flay will now show on DVD, through Random Media this November. In the story, Moon (Elle Lamont) struggles with a death in her family, while an American Indian spirit haunts her. As well, this title was developed by Phame Factory, with Eric Pham (Red Planet) directing and Matthew Daley the central screenwriter. Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) and Dalton E. Gray also star in this film about a strange, spiritual character. The film's mythos revolves around cursed chains. Once touched, the curse transfers to the person and an Indian spirit hopes to trap their souls, while seeking revenge - for the curse. Part drama and part horror, Flay will be available November 18th, on DVD. Extras have not been announced. However, this title has a runtime of ninety-four minutes and will likely be released in an unrated format.

Flay
Stars: Elle Lamont, Violett Beane, A. Michael Baldwin, Kaylee King, Johnny Walter, Aaron Spivey-Sorrells, Dalton E. Gray, Emily Grace Dunn, Sarah Joy Byington, Noé de la Garza , Peggy Schott, Mike Dell | Written by Matthew Daley | Directed by Eric Pham
Name: Flay
Age: 2019
Appearance: CGI-laden ghostly horror, featuring a Slenderman entity, a haunted painting, a cursed chain, teenage angst drama and a cameo from A. Michael Baldwin, aka “Mike” out of Phantasm.
Not another Slenderman film?
With his faceless stare and fine suit, it looks like Slenderman but it’s actually the ghost of a murdered American Indian who went by the name of Flay.
So, why does he wear a suit and tie?
The film opens with a prologue set in the 1800s showing Flay refusing to wear western clothing and is tortured to death by having his face skinned whilst being chained.
Hence the cursed chains!
Yes!
And the faceless man!

Directors James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez have teamed up for what looks like to be a fantastical and wild film in Alita: Battle Angel. While people are still dealing with their San Diego Comic-con hangover from this past weekend, 20th Century Fox releases an all-new trailer for the film which is based off of the popular Manga series “Gunnm.”
The trailer looks absolutely insane. It has a blend of great looking live-action stunts and heavy use of CGI which looks amazing at times, and at other times looks a bit too much like a video game. But while we are on the subject of CGI, the film has already seen its share of controversy. When the film’s first teaser came out, fans of the Manga series were none too pleased when 20th Century Fox decided to cast a non-Asian actress in the main role but rather casted a Canadian-American...

Quick question. This is 2014 right? You wouldn’t guess that from watching Varsity Blood!
It would seem that the trend for producing horror movies that harken back to the 80s and the golden age of the slasher, has officially become the “norm” for modern examples of the genre. Every month there seems to be another slasher movie that hits DVD and/or VOD which looks and feels like the self-referential post-Scream years never happened. But I’m not complaining, oh no! As a Huge fan of slasher movies (even the likes of Iced and Terror at Tenkiller) I relish the opportunity to watch each and every new entry into the much-maligned genre.

Several stills from the film are hosted here. For more on the story, after the death of Brandon's (Browder) great grandfather, he inherits an antique camera. The camera holds a power, to kill those it photographs. Bizarre accidents take place, after Brandon tempts fate. Now, he finds himself alone as most of his friends are wound up within the cursed camera's film. Two stills from Dead Still show the costumes and characters from the title. The costumes look well done, by costumer Sandra Algood; black is the colour of the day. As well, viewers will notice the...

Looking for a unique take on the vampire film genre? It's a well traveled road with every incarnation imaginable have been done to death or undeath (pun intended). Finding something that happens to be be infused with new blood (pun intended again) is like discovering that cool little eatery or eclectic shop down a side street off an avenue that corporate America strip mined with soulless franchises. Enough with the metaphors and excessive use of prepositions. Let's talk about The Devil's Gravestone,
I was a big fan of "Daybreakers". I could appreciate all the social undertones. The de-evolution of any one that doesn't feed regularly, the father daughter relationship that was made horribly dysfunctional by vampirism, and the accidental cure for it all. I dug everything, and I'm on board for anything that attempts to make something that's so regularly done, a little thought provoking again.

Machete Kills: We won't go so far as to say all these ladies are killers, but we do recommend approaching them with caution (and respect). Sofia Vergara, Alexa Vega and Elle Lamont are featured in a new photo from Machete Kills, which stars Danny Trejo as a former federal agent who goes on a mission for the president (Charlie Sheen) to track down a madman (Mel Gibson). Michelle Rodriguez, Amber Heard, Jessica Alba, Lady Gaga and many more appear; the movie will slay audiences in theaters on October 11. [Entertainment Weekly via Coming Soon] James Brown: Long in development, a musical biopic is finally moving forward with the news that Chadwick Boseman has been selected to play the Godfather of Soul, James Brown. Boseman previously starred in this year's 42 as...

And the title for best official still so far to arrive from Robert Rodriguez's 'Machete Kills' has been awarded to this bad boy. The new image features one hell of an awesome line-up of hotties all getting gathered to beat down Danny Trejo and his supporters. The absolute holy trinity of tasty ladies featured are that of a scantily clad Elle Lamont, the badass breast shooters of Sofia Vergara ('Modern Family') and topping it off with another look at the ridiculously now gorgeous grown-up body of Miss Alexa Vega ('Spy Kids'). The tongue-in-cheek action packed sequel also stars Jessica Alba ('Sin City'), Michelle Rodriguez ('Resident Evil: Retribution'), Vanessa Hudgens ('Sucker Punch'), Zoe Saldana ('Avatar'), Lady Gaga, the Avellan twins ('Planet Terror'), Cuba Gooding Jr, Edward James Olmos ('Dexter'), William Sadler, Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen.

While the concept of dropping into the world’s largest film event and competing with 999 other short filmmakers for the industry’s attention may seem like a Survivor-like TV show, it’s the reality each year for participants in Cannes’ Short Film Corner. Many of the filmmakers who screen their works in the basement of the Palais are arriving in Cannes for the first time, and the event is a crash course in networking and navigating the business side of film markets. “You can get lost in a sea of films,” admits filmmaker Bradley Montesi (pictured here with producer Elle Lamont), attending with his short Recess. “Everything is left up to you to do.”
Each year in Cannes I make a point to stroll through the Short Film Corner, check out some films and see who I meet. But, with 1,000 entries and many other things on my plate, I can...
