After graduating from Elon University with a bachelor's degree in journalism, she worked for three years as a Digital Content Producer/Lead Digital Producer for WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she was won an Emmy Award, in addition to earning three Emmy nominations, for her digital contribution to story coverage. She later moved to Los Angeles to pursue entertainment news at THR.
