The Aussie Bible by Kel Richards

Natalie’s first review of the year

did not like it
Definitely irreverent, possibly blasphemous

I'm not sure what the author was thinking. To suggest that the language of the Bible needs to be changed to this extent in order for an English speaking country to understand it properly? If this is not the intention of the author, then one can only assume that it is a poor attempt at humour.

An hour to the stone age by Shirley Horne

Natalie’s last review of the year

really liked it
Wow

This story needs a good edit into contemporary language. It wasn't an easy read but the progress of the Dani tribe from savages fuelled by violence to mass conversions to Christianity is one that every person should read. The power of God is on display in a remarkable way.

There is a lot of graphic violence in this book.

If this was brought up to date it would be a 5 star read.

Recommended.
