Although the poems may be well written, I could not connect with the Indian experience, the Inuit experience, or the Christian experience within "The Book of Bearings". Some good lines and several good poems, still, I never felt engaged with the material. Who we are creates how we react, so your reading may be an intense or profound engagement. I hope it is.
