Overall Opinion: Well....I still feel kind of meh about it all. I do feel like this could've been one book instead of a duet and better for it, because there was a lot stretched out that wasn't all that necessary in the long run. I also felt like the conflicts were resolved way too easily. Camryn and the H's mom?! I'm bummed because I am feeling the minority in not loving this duet 😔

Brief Summary of the Storyline: I'll keep this brief since this is the second book. This is the conclusion of Tessa and Rowan's story. This continues their story about four years later. Some big secrets get revealed, some big changes happen in both their lives, they have some sweet and sexy moments...and get a HEA ending.

POV: This alternated between Tessa and Rowan's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Better until the end. The last 4 or 5 chapters seemed to have a lot of things being tied up and it was done so neatly that it felt like a whirlwind that wasn't all that believable. Otherwise, I never skimmed and I thought it flowed pretty well.

Instalove: No, but they had residual strong feelings from their past.

H rating: 3.5 stars. Rowan. He was like a different character in this one! I appreciated his persistence with the h.

h rating: 3 stars. Tessa. I understood her hesitation in allowing the H back in her life, but some of her behavior I didn't agree with.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes (view spoiler)[The h pushes away a good bit, and I'd say that the H is still the main pursuer of the relationship. (hide spoiler)]

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW/OM drama: Yes (view spoiler)[ The H is married to OW when reunited, and the OW isn't signing the papers for divorce and causes some drama. The h has a OM that is a friend that hints at wanting more from the h and him being around makes the H jealous. (hide spoiler)]

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: Yes IMO (view spoiler)[The H is technically married when reunited with the h. While the marriage is by paper only, there is definite emotional cheating going on and the H and h do kiss and sleep together before the divorce is finalized. The OW married to the H also cheats by sleeping with OM regularly during their marriage. (hide spoiler)]

Separation: Yes (view spoiler)[They are separated at the beginning of this book for about four years. The h had been with one OM, and the H had slept with his wife once and another woman once during this time. (hide spoiler)]

Possible Triggers: Yes (view spoiler)[Hidden pregnancy/child (on page) and the H goes through a divorce and is still married to OW when reunited (hide spoiler)]

Closure: This had alright closure with what I would call a HEA ending (view spoiler)[they're married with 2 children (hide spoiler)]

Safety: This one is probably Safe with exception or Not Safe for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences.
