In sports and betting there are specific terms to identify something amazingly special, like a "Trifecta, Triple Crown or Grand Slam..."With this book and the character Sarge, Tessa Bailey "Hit it out of the Park"... There I go doing it again...Let me explain.

This book addresses:

The older woman/younger guy
The Dreams destroyed and now what
Loving your best friend's brother...

All of these are there plus the added bonus part of extremely hot, satisfying, and filthy dirty talking from a Rock God...
Oh, did not I not mention Sarge is the head of a local band gone great...all of these factors cause enough heat for us to drool for Sarge... him being the friggin BEST...

He is crazy in love with this woman Jasmine; has been for a very long time and now is able to just go for it. Pursue her full throttle.

Now the object of his affection is the one whose dreams have died...She has a beautiful singing voice, tried to make a go of it... even was so self-assured she was going to make it, she was a bit over the top for this small factory town. She tried, sent out demos but received rejection after rejections causing her to feel embarrassed and a failure with a big L on her forehead. Now she is just like everyone else... working at the factory and drinking at the local dive bar. Her days are the same and she never sings... that died.

The focus of this tale is Sarge coming off the road for the holidays and hanging out in his hometown after more than a few years. He didn't let his sister know he was coming and when he is at her door, it was a bit awkward, duh... It seems his sister is dealing with her own stuff, none good, and doesn't want to confuse her daughter about a strange man staying and then leaving at the house. Sarge feels sad and dumb; he didn't plan this right. The sis stops him when he says no worries I will find a hotel... No, that isn't necessary, you can stay with Jasmine.

Ah, no... That won't work... because neither his sister nor Jasmine knows of the longtime desire he has had for her.

Oh, what a setup... It seems Jasmine was his...BABYSITTER back in the day...(see how this is everything I told you... Winning hand and all!) Now the time has past and Sarge is a fully formed Rock GUY at 22...the kind that is buff and turns heads...Jasmine is 29 and lamenting her 30th birthday coming up...

We get it all in this story... "the older woman, I can't be with you, stuff..."
The "you are a success and people will think I am latching on to make it stuff..."
And we get some of the Best Dirty Talking, Cuddle and just Sexy-Smexy stuff Tessa Bailey could think of...

Yes, there is a real story with real characters and other secondary arcs just waiting to have their own book...

So, If you are a fan of Tessa Bailey, you know she knows how to write men we want; she also writes complete women for them. If you haven't read Tessa Bailey, then you are in for a treat...but there are a couple of things that need to be done first before you start...for real...

Have your laundry done...all the unmentionables. Depending on how fast a reader you are or if you wish to be sure you didn't miss anything...and tend to re-read, you may need to change a few times...

Make sure you have stocked up on batteries...This releases December 7th and there may be a run on Double AA's at Costco...Just sayin'...

Oh, and whatever you do... Do Not Read this at work... others will think you have come down with the flu when your skin becomes flush and glowy...

This is a new series and if the hints of what is to come happens, be prepared to want more of Made in Jersey.
