A fat cow never goes unmilked… and so here it comes the army of overpriced short stories.
Kindle Price: $2.06
Print Length: 30 pages
Seriously.
Oct 26, 2013 (after reading)
Just for clarity's sake: on my ADE reader, the ebook was exactly 34 pages long, and the story began on page 4 (Four! Hehe) and ended on page 29, for a net total of 25 pages.
I'm not one of those people who think that everything should be free or at least very cheap. And I don't want to squabble over a matter of a handful of cents. Hey, you did a job, you have to get paid.
But this story is more like a marketing aid for the actual books of the series (and the upcoming movie!), and for this price it should be doubly as long as it is.
That being said… yes, I liked it.

Then don't buy it. Many people don't mind $2 for a story.

$2 for a short story isn't so bad. Some of us paid double that because we're Canadian. That's totally overpriced. Hell, $4 is nearly half of most YA paperbacks.. Seriously, how do they even justify that?
I'm totally with Sabrina on this one.

Jakie, I don't mind 2$ for a short story. But minus the cover(s), the colophon, and the advertising, this won't even be those 30 pages. That's not a short story, it's an almost-nothing story.
I'll buy it and I'm sure I'll enjoy the little there's of it, but I'm not blind and I see what's being done here.

Jenn, I sympathize.
I live in Europe, and sometimes I luck out with a favorable currency exchange rate, sometimes I'm left high and dry because some titles are not available for my country.

I don't know about you, but my copy is actually 55 pages long with very small font. It's advertised as only 30 pages but definitely isn't!
Julia, I haven't bought it yet, I was relying the details as they were given on Amazon.
Even if pagination on ebooks is quite a fickle thing, I'm glad to hear this is not as short as I was fearing :)

That is waaay to expensive. U have any idea what I could do with two bucks? At a book sale, that's like 2-4 books.
I felt it was well worth my $2. If you want to read it for free, you could always use Kindle or Nook lending. Any of my Nook friends are welcome to borrow it from me.

I don't have friends that read english books, and I don't even know anyone with a Kindle or a Nook. I'm afraid that reading for me will always be a solitary endeavor :)

Italian libraries don't buy english books. And if they do, they buy the most famous ones, the ones that get in the first 10 of the best-selling lists.
