This is one of those ultimate grumpy sunshine trope books and zi am so down for that. Maddox is grumpy and stand-offish but he has his reasons. Kayden, ever the optimist, can’t stand not trying to make him smile. He has a long tough road ahead of him! Maddox made me just want to wrap him up in a big bear hug and shower him with all the love and affection. He definitely needs someone like Kayden in his life to balance out the grump. Together they make a good pair.
