really liked it

(3.8 stars) The premise of this was too interesting to resist. Once i got started, it was hard to stop reading. First of all, I loved how weird this was (it could have even been weirder).

I enjoyed the eerie atmosphere this had. The horror of being alone in space and the unknown. I really liked a lot of elements that were in the story. If you're interested in reading this, go in knowing as little as possible and stop reading this review here.

Overall I liked the story but I felt that certain things could have been developed more.
This could definitely have been longer to give us more of the creepy space atmosphere, to develop the relationship between Ami and Dorian, expand the mystery of what was happening, etc. I wouldn't suggest going into this thinking it's a romance. It's a sci-fi horror novella. It's being compared to Crimson Peak because if you strip away the space elements, it has some of the gothic tropes (kind of).

I'd still recommend this to those that like their horror weird. Those that like the movie Event Horizon, Crimson Peak. This also reminded me of an anime anthology movie called Memories (specifically the first mini movie Magnetic Rose).

I'll be thinking about this one for a while. The premise was just so good.
