For some reason I didn't expect very much from this, especially because I thought the main character might be very annoying, but this was such a pleasant surprise. Yes, the main character starts out a little annoying, but I mostly found her funny, and she has a lot more self awareness than I expected. The setting of the goat farm is really charming, and the annoying but sweet-in-his-own-way ghost, Everett, was a really fun side character. The romance is a little slower to build, and the book takes its time to build Charlie's trust in Gretchen, which makes a lot of sense and works really well.
