A nice collection of woodblock prints from the 17th to 20th centuries interspersed with haiku poems. The book traces the history and evolution of woodblock printing (ukiyo-e) with short descriptions about the artists and their lives from the earliest blockprints to the modern age. Each Ukiyo-e painting is accompanied by a Haiku poems. There are 68 prints by 28 different artists in the books. A good short introduction to Ukiyo-e.
