This is not my favorite Paul Tremblay but per usual, I don't agree with the low rating. I think for someone expecting a straight up horror novel, this probably isn't it, though it does have some unsettling scenes. I found it to be more of a slow-paced literary horror? I don't know...it's just an odd faux memoir which is more of an exploration of friendship, the good and the bad. This is my third novel by this author, and I have to say I am a fan of his style.

Donne Honest review, Susan. I feel the same way sometimes with a particular installment for one of my fave series. I may still love the series, even a particular installment was below par compared to other installments. I am sure that every best selling author has at least one crappy book amongst their best sellers. JMHO
