Troup captures the childlike wonder of discovery in her new book about space exploration, REACHING FOR THE STARS. I was particularly struck with seeing a story that depicts children, rather than adults as the astronauts, which young readers will certainly connect to. The illustrations are striking as well, and they beautifully combine real-life photos taken by NASA's telescopes with the painterly, vivid artwork by Amanda Lenz. A beautiful, resonant take on science and space.
