dnf @ 4% too many popular references annoys me so the main reason i stick to fantasy is so i don’t deal with that.. too bad that’s all this book is so far. also main character comes off as corny instead of badass. how unfortunate

Melissa Harris 4% is 17 pages, I find this kinda hard to believe? Also the way this book is getting marketed I think that's the point.

Melissa Chapman The MC is from our current time period, and transported to a different time period/world. The modern references are for her, and confuse the other characters. That's half the point.
