The Blackthorn Queen (Eagles and Crows #1)

I love this author but I found this book slow, I know its probably a duet or trilogy, so sometimes when that's the case the author has time to develop things but really it took an age for anything to happen.
HFN.
I don't like that there is no details of how many books in the series, I knew I should have waited.

Agreed100%. There's just nothing new or interesting that happens in these serial musings. If there are any variations on a theme it would be the stable boy who marries the prince, the queen who has an affair with the court jester and maybe the horse who never wins a race. An unknown story is probably read just because it would be unpredictable and rare.
