** spoiler alert ** Re read it for some angst and realised Rachel is far more spineless than I gave her credit for ( except for some good introspection on and admitting her spineless-ness about Prescott) and Prescott was too worse to be liked at all anyway. Even one stars seems too much.

Raise your finger if -
- You have had an epic plotline - a second chance after divorce, spanning a decade of their life.
- Had the hero cheat on the Heroine while being married to her (which means you could make the groveling epic - on his kness sobbing epic)
- but you are too fascinated with insta love even in second chance and mess it all up for no good reason.
- Have the Heroine live a lonely life and take the hero back without any actual efforts ( sans a bouquet a week for months)
- The hero also had a vasectomy so he won't have children with the Heroine, but will have a sixteen year child showing at his door step anyway

I don't know what else to say except I was so disappointed in this book. Second chance is my favorite romance trope, second chance after a divorce is chef's kiss and this story had so much potential for angst and tears and feels but served mostly nothing.

The flashback moments where we could see Prescott caring about Rachel in a backhanded way was way more feelsy than their entire present and renuion that fell completely flat for me. The narrative is fast paced and hooking, because I started and finished the book in a few hours, but the story serves almost nothing - or didn't to me at least.

The kind of mistakes Prescott made - Rachel deserved to have him crying on his kness and begging for her to take him back. I don't know why we excuse all the mistakes and sins of the hero because “Oh, sad past” and “Oh, I was at fault too”. My Girlies deserve more. Rachel deserved much much more.

Not worth it.
