Cora’s first marriage was not a love match, but the worst thing her first husband did to her transpired after his death. His will named his brother-in-law as their children’s legal guardian which means that Cora could lose the custody. It would help her case if she was married, or at least engaged, and that’s where Nate Travers comes to play.

In general I’m not a fan of children in romance novels, but it worked flawlessly here. I don’t want to go into details, let me just say that it’s hot af when a man is good with kids… But my favorite thing about Nate was his easygoing charm, confidence and sense of humor. He was a perfect book boyfriend but I was also inspired by his positive approach to life, I wish I could be like that!

Cora was amazing too, I loved how fiercely she fought for her family and I loved that once she realized that Nate was part of it, she fought for him too.

This story was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time, the chemistry was off the charts and the spice was so good! 🔥🌶️🔥

I teared up a little when reading the epilogue, but the author’s note made me ugly cry and now I have mascara on my t-shirt.
