*3.5* I was not as engaged with this second book as I was with the first. It could’ve been that a large chunk of this book was just repeating the same things over and over again. She’s hiding her gifts, she doesn’t want to strengthen the bond, everyone still keeping secrets from each other, etc..

It was 500 pages and I think it could have been edited down and been just as good.

"It's your fault! My bond is a whiney, horny little bitch, and you're waving a goddamn red flag at it right now. Put a shirt on!"

There was one intimate scene between her and one of her men. It was written well, but I was surprised at how (view spoiler)

Maybe I just needed more groveling. I really love the idea of the bond having its own identity. A bit like a shifter?

Ends on another cliffhanger. Off to download bk 3!

Claire Great review! I agree, the whole thing where they thought she was sleeping around in Book 1 really needed to be addressed more. I needed North to acknowledge that he was being dumb and wrong about it!

Disco Inferno I’ll wait for your review of #3!

Thanks Claire 💜 They were all so awful to her in book one! The ow, the mean comments, just everything!
