This is a a cozy little mystery series about interdimensional trees that look like houses and have magic power. No, wait...lemme try again. This is a paranormal romance about an innkeeper and her werewolf boyfriend. No, that's not quite right, either. This is a sci-fi series about aliens who visit earth. Still not quite there. I give up! It's complicated.

In this one, the innkeeper is hosting a very important betrothal competition that could send galaxies into war if things go badly. There are sentient walking murder trees. There are talking philosopher chickens. And so much more! It's a fun series that doesn't take itself all that seriously from the wonderful married writing couple Ilona Andrews.
