I really wanted to like this post-apocalyptic adventure story told from the point of view of animals. The main narrator is a crow with a profane vocabulary, a love for cheesy snack-foods, and an appreciation for fire-ball guzzling, monster-truck watching America. The tone was sassy but the pacing flagged for me in a way I could not get over. I hope it brings you more joy than it did me. Buxton is certainly trying to have us all have a good time.
