As someone from WA who has been to Walla Walla several times, it was immediately clear that this “highly researched” novel didn’t bother to research the hometown of the main character enough to say anything truthful about it. Can’t imagine how much more annoyed I’d be if I was from there. Plus you don’t just get into Whitman College because you are from Walla Walla.
I live near WW. I emailed the author and asked if she's been here, but did not get a response.
I think that the protagonist did all the story was Fleeing
It’s the place where she hit & ran her own dad to death.
