GREAT CHARACTERS, SWEET ROMANCE AND A FANTASTICAL PLOT TO DIE FOR 😍
This book had everything.
😍 What I Loved 😍
Barrett: The first thing I fell in love with was Barret. Honestly, how could I not? Barret was absolutely great and so relatable. She was awkward, weird, blunt and oh so sweet. It was obvious that she was out of her depth in social relations and I related with that so hard. I loved following Barrett's evolution throughout the story. While she didn't loose anyone of her dorkiness or her awkwardness (thank god!) she still grew in a very satisfactory way.
Miles: The second thing I fell in love with was Miles. Actually, he might be my new literary crush. He was adorable. He had this serious exterior, he was super nerdy but also sensitive and vulnerable. It just made him super likable and crushable and amazing.
Relationship: Barrett and Miles had the sweetest relationship. And part of what made it so sweet was how believable it was. I was amazed at how naturally Solomon portrayed how their relationship evolved ever so slowly. It felt fresh and right and perfect for those two. This might be a slow burn romance, but in the absolute best way possible.
Plot: Miles and Barrett are trapped in a time loop, forced to relieve the same day over and over. While that could easily become tiresome and repetitive, Solomon managed to make each look fresh and unique, slowly adding on to the plot day by day. So it didn't feel like a repeat - it felt like an evolving story. It takes talent to achieve that and Solomon definitely has that.
