I'm actually super impressed by this book. The smut is glorious and far better than I thought.
And it's not that usual you got a recovering alcoholic protagonist in a historical romance. Paired that with a crumbling estate and marriage of convenience, you got an interesting story to be told.

it's interesting how historical romances never deal with common problems (eg alcoholism) like contemporary does....as if those things didn't exist back then😂

This was such a winner in the series! Glad you liked it.
Mareeva, It always drives me crazy as well. I love that this book shows his withdrawal, though I feel it would have been dangerous for a lifetime alcoholic to withdrawal on a 4 day carriage ride.
