Wow, what a huge surprise this was! Unexpected layers, a heroine who develops over the course of the book, and a seriously, seriously crush-worthy guy.

Sophie Riggsby / allthingsequilateral So happy that you enjoyed EASY. It's such a non-hyped find and one that needs more attention.

Wendy Darling Totally agree, Sophie. :)

And yes, Stephanie, it's really good!

Crystal's Bookish Life I knew you would like this Wendy!!! I am so happy you did too. I think this has been my very favorite book this year. :)

Wendy Darling Oh yay--I'm glad you liked it too, Crystal! This one totally took me by surprise. It's sort of everything I'd hoped for in Slammed (which had a lot of buzz) but didn't quite get.

Look forward to comparing notes soon. :)

♥Rachel♥ How did I miss that you read this, Wendy?!! Yay for the 4 stars. :)

Thalia Hey Wendy! I know this was awhile ago, but I was wondering what your content recommendation was? I don't like reading steamy stuff, and I just don't know how to shelve this for me! Can you tell me if/what happens sex-wise?

that makes me sound creepy

Wendy Darling Oh yes, I liked this one a lot, Rachel. :)

Thalia--I don't know that I'm the best person to ask? The romantic scenes aren't objectionably explicit from what I remember, but there are definitely some steamy scenes in it. If you're worried, you might ask someone who's read it more recently to spoil it for you. Sorry not to be more help!

Sophie Riggsby / allthingsequilateral Thalia - If you're a fade-to-black reader, this isn't for you. It's sensual and well written, but definitely sexy.

Sophie Riggsby / allthingsequilateral Forgive me for jumping in, Wendy. Oopsies.

Wendy Darling Oh goodness, no--thank you for that, Sophie! Appreciate the second opinion. :)

Sophie Riggsby / allthingsequilateral Wendy - I just love this story and a few of my friends have been turned off by the subject matter which is the very reason I love it. Such a serious issue and such great characters.

Wendy Darling I just had a look at your shelves, Sophie--you definitely need to read The Sea of Tranquility! I was suspicious of all the hype, but I thought that it was amazing. Similarly mature themes, and more "NA" without being shallow.

Sophie Riggsby / allthingsequilateral Okay, really?!?! LOL. Like I don't trust you. Adding it to my TBR. Thank you!

Wendy Darling Yes! I think you'd love it. Um...let me know if I'm right, hah. :) It's a self-pubbed book that got picked up by S&S for traditional publication, coming out this June.

Sophie Riggsby / allthingsequilateral I just bought it for my kindle! I'm looking forward to reading it!

Wendy Darling Whoa, it only took 20 minutes to persuade you! hee hee. If only all my friends were as easily convinced, I'd have to spend much less time writing review. ;) Can't wait to see what you think of it!

Sophie Riggsby / allthingsequilateral AHAHAHA! I read through the sample and like I said, I trust you. I promise to update you when I read it. :)

Franziska Thanks a lot for this review! I saw your review and got the book. I finished it in two sittings. I just couldn't get up from my couch on sunday X)

Wendy Darling Aw, I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Franziska! :) I was telling Sophie above that The Sea of Tranquilityis really good too, if you ever get yourself off the couch. ;)

Franziska Ah, thanks a lot for te tip! I'll be looking into that one, too. Somehow it is nice that now the "Contemporary Novel" seems to be resurfacing. No vampires, no werewolves, no one can fly. Have to get used to that again :D

Wendy Darling I really love a good contemporary too, especially as a break between PNR and dystopians and sci fis (which is mostly what I read), but I'm a lot pickier about them. So it's wonderful to come across one that's really, really good. :)

Ronyell I also agree about the crush worthy guy!!! Lucas was awesome!!!

Brooke One of my favorites!

Daphne Rogers LOVED this one -- thanks for the review!

Imme van Gorp hmm yea, this had sooo much potential, but it never quite reached said potential for me in the end! I think I missed the POV of the guy to understand him better
