it was amazing

Price of a Rose is an amazing and unique retelling of Beauty and the Beast. From the moment I started reading, the story captivated me; I had to find out how the story ended. While it is a retelling, there are some elements that felt completely new. Having the sisters, each with their own gifts and talents, gave the story a whole new dynamic. I loved it. It wasn't your usual retelling.

The characters each had something loveable about them. I probably could talk endlessly about them, but I'm going to summarize and say they are well written, and have their own purposes in the story. I wish this book was a series just about these characters. I want to know more about them and their lives. The youngest sister has a lot to her that I think would be interesting to read about.

The magic element to the story was done differently than most of the stories I have read. It was far more imaginative and thought out. I would have loved to explore the magic system more.

The writing was great, easy to read, and kept me interested in the book. I plan to read more by this author. I can't begin to express how much I enjoyed this book.

Anyone who enjoys fairytale retellings should give this book a read. It is clean, while there is romance there, it isn't in your face or offensive. I honestly think the romance took a backseat to the relationship between the sisters and the magic aspect. There is so much to like about this book.

I received an ARC of this book for free, and I am voluntarily leaving this review.

Byrd Nash Thank you, Ashley for taking a chance on my book. I loved reading your feedback. I loved the Beauty and Beast tale but wanted to do something different since the story is so well-known.
