it was amazing
bookshelves: historical, africa, mesmerizing

Great read, a page-turner. I thought that 900 pgs of historical fiction would make me gag, but the plot was well-developed, the story tight, and the writing good. A great love story written as if from Cleopatra herself.

Debbie W. I agree! Even though the size of the book was daunting, I was totally wrapped up in it - the setting, the plot, the characters, especially Cleopatra herself. Thanks for your review, Cheryl!
