** spoiler alert ** So, a character has this nervous habit of chipping her nail polish, and then she’s hiding somewhere within the hotel, and they find her because they follow a TRAIL OF NAIL POLISH CHIPS.

I believe this about sums this novel up.

Hope I’m wrong."

idil You should put spoiler alert in the title

message 2: by Kaiju (new)

Kaiju Reviews Omg, hilarious.

Victoria Collini I rolled my eyes when this happened too ...

Heidi Hahahaha yes, that about sums it up!

Taylor Thomas Please put a spoiler alert lol I read this and then immediately knew who was involved 😭

Danielle Yes!!!!! Completely accurate.

Krissy Baaahahahahahaha yes

Krissy And what was the epilogue about?

Stephanie Yeah, she was shedding nail polish chips like dandruff flakes! WTH? 🤣

Haleigh 😂😂

message 11: by Karon (new)

Karon I couldn't even get to the nail chips I was sooooo bored......

message 12: by Ana (new) - rated it 1 star

Ana Lopes Miura The epilogue is about someone else who’s supposed to be a psycho stalker serial killer, so that this crap gets a sequel. I’m thinking that maybe in this one, a character will love using foot peeling sheet masks and will leave a trail of actual dead skin pieces.

chai books and soup It’s nail varnish, get it right 😉

Kashvi Gidwani Even the use of hair grips annoyed me. Why can’t it simply be hair ties?

message 15: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Horrible. Follow the trail of chipped nail varnish. I don't think Reese even read the book.

Alexandra Morton Hahahahaha yes.

Maryellen 😂 exactly

Sharon Baker If I have to take one thing away from this book .. it’s don’t wear cheap nail varnish when committing a serious crime!

cvtherin And it still took *forever* for her to realize!

message 20: by Liz (new) - rated it 2 stars

Liz Don't forget the smell of chlorine... In a hotel with a spa

message 21: by Meghan (new)

Meghan Fear thanks for saving my audible credit from this mess!

message 22: by Tina (new) - rated it 2 stars

Tina Touliatos Wasn’t she the worst detective ever?? Lol

Julie Miller This ruined it for me too. It was established that then killer was super organized and careful, but taken down by something so stupid. And like what kind of awful nail polish chips THAT much???

message 24: by Ana (new) - rated it 1 star

Ana Lopes Miura You would’ve gotten away with it if you’d just shelled the 15 bucks for the Seche Vite!!!

Diana Hahaha, if you plan to be a murderer, do not use crappy nail varnish!

Maryjanek Ha, I agree so dumb!

Hannah Carmichael Yeah...that was ridiculous. Like, come the heck on.

message 28: by Rene (new) - rated it 3 stars

Rene Lane Elin can spot microscopic nail varnish chips- but can’t stop herself from jumping from one wrong conclusion to the next.
She should rethink going back to her day job…. She isn’t very good at evaluating evidence/circumstance.

Catherine Ann HAHAHA accurate 😂😂😂😂

Christie EXACTLY

Allllie✨ STOP! I didn't like this at all, 150 pages in. Definitely not reading it now. I expected something this dumb to be the ending..glad I saved my time haha

Nicole I felt the whole time that this woman seriously needs to find another job. Not a good detective.

Amanda 😂😂

Colleen A horrible detective! So annoying.

message 35: by Jude (new) - added it

Jude A shocker!! And not in a good way.

Michelle That's exactly what was stuck in my head when I finished! How much gray polish can one woman wear that it leaves a trail of bread crumbs like Hansel and Gretel, LOL.

Megan 😂😂😂 absolutely ridiculous.

Daniela 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Stacey Bryan Waste of time!!

message 40: by Abi (new)

Abi I was about to buy this book. Thank God I came here before checking out. Saved me from wasting $22

Leah ⚯͛ I am confident that you could comment on an authors work without using the word “crap”.

message 42: by Ana (new) - rated it 1 star

Ana Lopes Miura You are absolutely correct. I found this author’s work to be excrement.

message 43: by April (new) - added it

April Okay, the review and comment threads have saved me from keeping this on my want to read shelf.

Kim I liked the book, but did not like that part.

message 48: by Kelly (new) - rated it 1 star

Kelly And somehow her brother saved her from the archive room that was only accessible to staff? The whole thing was a major eye roll, literally I rolled my eyes multiple times.

message 49: by Vicki (new) - rated it 1 star

Vicki Beloff This book was soo disappointing and
Poorly written. Why was everyone always insisting you needed water ? I feel sorry for Reese if this is all you have to read

Natalie Mata Hahaha that was silly
