I really enjoyed this retelling of Snow White. Lyle and Gruff were perfect for each other and Gruff's brothers made me laugh. The Daddy/Boy trope isn't a big draw for me but I have to admit this one worked.
I wish the story was longer, I would have liked for some of Gruff's brothers to find their boy and I would have liked to know what happened to the orphans from the Kingdom Mountain theme park. I feel a bit like the story ended with things still up in the air. All in all though, this was an enjoyable read.
