haha. okay, so only about the pulling your hair out part. You get used to it pretty quick, but that's probably just me. :P The bible's supposed to be harder to read, and it is a little, but I read it with no problem, too, so... but, anyway, good luck with that, Jace.
sad you feel this way. the book of mormon is a companion to the bible. have you read the holy bible ? i am reading the bible for the second time in a year. please do not judge the book of mormon until you have read the book of mormon or know our church...the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints
@Diana "I should probably read it again" is what the commenter said so clearly he HAS read the book of mormon. please do not judge this rater until you've read his review.
I agree that The Book Of Mormon is a companion to the Bible. They both belong on the sci-fi shelf, right next to the Quran.
Unfortunately, your review is deeply lacking. You haven't reviewed the book - you shared your thoughts on the Church that believes in the book. The two are not the same thing. Out of curiousity, if you think Joseph Smith was illiterate - how was he able to write this book? Pretty impressive feat for someone without an education.
I think that you must have mistaken the book of Mormon for the Koran and Joseph Smith for Mohammed. I think that's where all hatred is coming from.
Touché sir. Although, I'd be up for trading all the "And it came to pass"-es with a bit of Vonnegutian "And so it goes".
This is not junk and please don’t call it that, it has changed many people’s lives and could change yours, i feel like you don’t want to believe or give it a real try.
Same goes for all religious books, bible bs, quran bs, strobel bs etc etc. The victims of these scams rate them 5 stars like a compliant zombie.
What if it's the other way around though? What if we turn out to be correct and your wrong? Then what?
Exactly Thea, they will learn when the second coming happens and they will regret everything they said about it is all a scam and is fiction.
Indeed, people should give it a 2-star - it has some notable elements of a novel, which need to be recognized for what they are.
The writing in the book is so bad it's hilarious. Every second verse begins with "And it came to pass" - who can take that seriously? Definitely a one star book. School kids invent better stories.
You just got a .1 IQ David. Maybe if you actually go back to third grade where you dropped out you can realize that its actually true along with the entire church.
Stop because you are wrong, you are hating on our religion and that just isn't nice
Honest criticism of a religion is not hate. Honest criticism of a religion text is not hate. It’s an acknowledgment of the flaws of that religion that believers do not want to acknowledge because it directly challenges their beliefs in a way that they can’t process without considering those flaws in a meaningful way.
You will find the following in your goal:
-LOTS of fiction
-NO true History
-Lots of wording that will make you want to pull your hair out!!!
