4 Kind of fitting stars

I was really nervous starting back into this series. I really liked the first book, but it was so heavy I had to take a break. It’s been some time since I last read the book and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow along. Although there isn’t much recap, the pace is so fitting for the series that it wasn’t a problem at all in me picking up the story where I last left off.

Also the book is VERY fitting to what is happening with the pandemic now. Is it a little morbid, a little, but serious times calls for serious books every so often?

Fallon must go with her teacher to train for two years. Those two years fly by and I REALLY enjoyed her training with her teacher. It’s an adorable innocence storyline that is really great to leave the audio on in the background while you work.

This middle book lacks the romance aspect you get a little glimpse of in the first book, BUT there are so many POV’s, you really are just following the train of though of the author.

I did like how the author glossed over the gory bits. It’s hard times and people do some awful things.

Overall, it’s about Fallon and her training, her coming to be older and more of an adult than child. Then you have the POV of the other people that were featured in the first book.

I am excited where this book left off and I will probably read a few light books before I finish this series, but I really recommend this book to everyone. It’s as I said, very fitting to what is happening now.
