13.0% ""What were all the other hundreds and thousands of people who were on the edges of the [meteorite] destruction to do?" When I read this, I couldn't help but think of my former Syrian student I saw yesterday picking up restaurant food for a delivery service. He was a doctor in Syria. Here, he's a sad delivery boy who couldn't even look up so that I could say hello. :-("

19.0% "A meteorite hits earth rendering it eventually “uninhabitable”. Space or any planet we could go to in our solar system would, I think, be even more uninhabitable. It makes more sense to figure out how to adapt our living arrangements on Earth rather than getting off the planet, especially using the technology of the 1950s. At least, eventually, Earth would be inhabitable again. That’s never going to happen to Mars."

February 3, 2020 –
23.0% "I guess the books I normally read don't have characters oiling up their potatoes and then oiling up each other, especially not in sci-fi. It's so ... weird. "Hey baby, math." Sexy moves. "Hey baby, science." More sexy moves. And then I giggle and change to reading some non-fiction."

40.0% "Okay. I'm finally abandoning this. I keep getting it from the library and dreading picking it up because it's just going too slow. I'm too easily distracted lately, and this is definitely not keeping my attention away from ... squirrel!"
