This book was going good for me until Alex touches a dead body and all of a sudden unlocks a psychic ability and enters into a shadowland. It lost my interest then. Have read many vampire books and this one took took a turn into ghost and psychic abilities... then there were many characters, jumping back and forth from one to another. I lost track of who was who besides the main characters. Disappointing read, I skimmed threw the last 30%. You could figure out by then what was going to happen anyway.
