it was amazing

I believe this book will be translated to English soon, therefore my review is in English. With one word: excellent novel, that made me laugh and cry and that we all as a nation needed.
I wish I have read it sooner as I’d knew better how to speak with someone who has a cancer, as I was always afraid to hurt others feelings. As a society we have pushed death and dying far away. Bronja shows how it is when you deal with this and what people should not say if they really want to help.

She tells her story as a young girl, and later as a woman and as a mother. With her sensibility I could easily come in touch with me at the same age,... for all of us, who lived in Yugoslavia, we can all relate, but what makes her special, is her narrative, so clean and pure that it just brings you back to that era.
For the rest of it, the pain and trauma, it’s hard to find words. Bronja has found it and reflected it so beautifully in her book, that I will keep returning to her words. Thank you Bronja for writing this book and for living your life so courageously.
