YES to this book but also NO to some of the scenes... I'm conflicted, okay? Let me tell you why

YES to Devi and kickass fight scenes, YES to learning about Maat: her appearance, her prison, her "craziness" YES to Lady Gray Devi's amour, even YES to some some of the romance scenes.

NO to Devis being conflicted about her feelings and decisions, NO to some of the mushiness, NO to Devi being a treated how she was (view spoiler)[ I hated Rupert when he put his arm around Devi infront of Anthony, I hated that he thought he could be so possessive of her when they weren't even made yet, I hated how Anthony responded and how Rupert allowed himself to fight him. I hated that he didn't realise that Devi should never be used in a "look what I have and you don't" situation. Can we all say NO together? thank you (hide spoiler)]

Okay now all that rant is out onto to the rest and how much I freakin enjoyed it!

The start of the book there is ALOT of running, We set off with Devi doing a ridiculously dangerous jump into hyperspace and luckily don't get lost for a 1000 years. We end up exploring a few planets when they ave to hide out, the descriptions of the trees and landscapes make me want to read about this amazing universe.

There is so much information about The Phantoms (view spoiler)[ When they all sacrificed themselves to get the message through to Devi that they just wanted to go home I was so touched and loved them, even when the little ones were just getting Devi's attention I thought they were so cute and didn't mean the harm they caused. (hide spoiler)] and they are so cute, little luminous bobbles in different sizes and shapes. The Leglis are exposed and we learn the true reason they don't want Maat free'd from her Prison (view spoiler)[ the Leglis queens are assholes not wanting to share their "oneness" and deciding it was easier to dispose of humans and the other alien races as they will all die one day anyhow NO! That is not how it works Leglis get off your high horse (hide spoiler)] We get Cadswell's back story and how the Symbiont's are inserted and people are chosen to except one, we also learn more about the symbiont and how much they hate being inside their hosts. Cadswell's backstory was sad and made me understand why he is the way he is but while I could sympathises he was still doing the wrong thing.

The second half of the book is fast paced and mixes in important info with action so well.

The hardest moment of the book? (view spoiler)[ Lady Gray being ripped off Devi by Mabel, I was so sad for Devi she worked so hard for that suit and loved it so much I wasn't even that upset when I thought Rupert had died! (hide spoiler)]

The ending was everything I hoped for everything tied up in a pretty armoured bow (view spoiler)[ Devi becoming a Devastator ! I just need an extra chapter of her getting in her new amour and making Rupert fight her so she can test it out XD Rupert deciding to stay at home and just being so happy to be around Devi not asking her to sacrifice her dreams or job, thank you for being great Rupert even if you were a douch in book two and the beginning of this one.
