Alright, I know this book's far from new but I love doing reviews. The story certainly moves like molasses at times, but opened my eyes to actual US history of which I'd been previously ignorant. As time has passed it's clear to me that this is an important novel, with deep insight into human nature across two specific cultural divides - easily translatable to today's issues. Best part, you feel mostly OK after reading it.
