When I was a young girl, my sibling and I used to listen to audio books together, and the first time I ever fell in love with this whole series was when we listened to it together. The story follows young Alanna who wants to be warrior, but is going to be sent away to study how to be a lady. While her twin brother is going to be sent away to become a knight, while all he wants to do is become a sorcerer. With a little mischief, they end up getting what they want. Alanna is disguised as a boy and sent to the castle to become a knight. She has to live life as a boy (hiding the fact that she is a girl), struggle with dangers, making friends, and a possible talent for magic as well as being an awesome female warrior (I mean how many talents can one girl have?). This story made me run around the house, hoping to become a knight, and fight battles. One of the best series that I have ever read (For any age) it is not immature, and portrays Alanna and her struggles in a wonderful way that sucks you in.READ THIS SERIES! (Only if you want to :) )
